You can get a rough idea of what will need to be repaired/replaced if there are enough quality pictures in the listing, but nothing compares to physically walking the property.

@Michael Delpier i like your response, and same goes for me.being a 43 young male i feel that doing the job that i had ( transport truck driver), i wasn't contributing to my community, or using enough quality time with my family.Building my real estate has lead me towards becoming a real estate sales rep and not having to work 16+ hour days , my wife is currently involved in this path with me and now my siblings are also getting interested in how our path is planned out, instead of working for someone else, work for yourself, i always remember this statement that i heard when i was in high school."

Also I don't plan on becoming a contractor although I do plan to act as a project manager for the projects the contractors are working on in my future investments I plan on only monitoring, ensuring they have the supplies, and ensuring quality in the work of the contractors that I choose to work with in the future.

In my experience, "comps" could be a wide range of quality and may not provide any sort of reasonable value comparison for the subject property.
