I won't be able to do the fha loans because I already own a home and family would definitely have my head if I proposed to move. lolI still need to explore my heloc option which I didn't before because I was still upside down on my mortgage (bought this house at its very peak pricing before the crash).

We're considering different locations for it and are exploring locations now. 

If they wouldn't go 50/50 with a repair that was of equal benefit, I would seriously explore obtaining my own connection to the city sewer system and abandon the existing connection.
