I wouldn't want to wreck my reputation over $11K.I'd probably pay the $131, but if you want to use that as leverage, say you'll resign at $130K.

Because a) it's the right way to do it b) the costs when you get caught will ruin you. c) you'll get a reputation as a cheater.

There are lesser known, but still reputable insurance firms that can insure people who have been rejected.
