I'm doing fine and see opportunities to grow my portfolio, but the housing affordability crisis has been bothering me lately and has got me questioning if scaling is a morally acceptable thing to do in this climate.For the longest time, owning a home was the only way for blue collar workers to achieve the American Dream.

Don't get me wrong, they still have good schools, but I would bet that housing in the Blue Valley school district will have more appreciation.In my opinion, if I was investing in the KC area, cash flow would be my goal.

To me it seems that showing up in blue jeans and a T-shirt when coming to maintenance requests might be the best idea.

Today's kitchen designs are going lighter toned medium colors on the countertops, and lighter toned 'dark' colors for flooring.Also, if the kitchen has southern light, go for a warmer toned "white". 

My biggest success over the years came from buying GROUPS (5-8 houses) of older homes on a single parcel, in older, blue collar parts of town (not slums).
