Don't get a cheap/temporary system though - make it a part of the remodel plan and a selling/renting feature.

The more the PM screws up, and the less money you make, the more money they make, by their design.

Once you have the lot under contract, it would be good to meet with a home designer.

It was fairly large (over 2000'), very stylish, with luxury features like hard wood floors, solar, granite counters, nice looking cabinets, etc.I was told the fact it was prefabbed saved ~30% on construction costs which if it was the quality of the prefabs from a couple of decades ago I would not have thought it was worth the savings but this was a very fine house. 

If you think the extra cost is justified, maybe you can emphasize what features of the apartment are worth the extra $100/mo in the pictures or the title.
