I've been devouring BiggerPockets podcasts, books, and courses for about a half year now and am at the point where I realize I need to start applying what I'm learning or I'm going to explode.I'm particularly interested in the Boise market because as I'm planning on moving there soon + house hack with a 3-12plex, but I have this feeling in my gut that everything there is extremely overvalued.

I let my STR PM deal with these issues, but if I were to make the decision (I do not, the PM handles this without involving me) I probably would credited you half the unit cost for a future stay (assuming it rented for the days you had booked) and refunded all the incidentals.

Likewise, you do not own the parking spots in front of your house, as mentioned above they are public streets and anyone is allowed to park there whether they live in your house, live 100 miles away or down the block.
