The last few times the government has just found ways to make loans almost free and they have handed out trillions of dollars in cash, driving inflation up and making everyone suffer without even knowing it is happening (somehow the government says inflation is minimal, but they also count the price of things like flat screen TVs into the equation and not food that the government doesn't control the price of with the farm bills).

Not enough information to answer your question.If you are planning to buy in Illinois, especially in Chicago, Cook County, I recommend working with an agent who actually has several rental properties and is familiar with the landlord tenant ordinance in order to give you some pointers along the way.

There are several reasons: ever increasing sky high tuition costs, jobs that don't require a college degree (coding, social media influencer, YouTubers, trade jobs) that are paying high salaries without the student loan debt, smaller families (parents having 1-2 kids instead of 2-3 kids).There are studies out there projecting the demise of large percentages of colleges and universities across the country in the coming decade.Anyway, food for thought.
