Nowhere as "cheap" as the SFHs I'd seen in Texas, but a drivable distance in case of any issues, and just generally less daunting than investing in something thousands of miles away sight unseen.

The future of higher education and office work is indeed fascinating...I started to work at home like everyone else in March and thinking about how to inform my boss that I have no plan to go back to the office even when this all mess is over...just with the money saved on the commute and eating out makes me feel I got a raise.

Im just starting out and am looking to buy for a flip with a backup plan being to brrrr.Im looking to buy a moderate distance from my home ( within a 2 hour drive) so have nailed down some target markets and already contacted a realtor, but beyond just waiting for them to send me potential deals in my criteria to analyze, and spending hours browsing zillow/realtor/redfin etc.
