As I understand the legal angle (I'm not a lawyer, but this comes up in the RE broker contracts course) an ambiguity in a RE contract is generally decided in favor of the party that didn't draft the agreement.

You can also learn to use the Zestimate to get a very rough estimate of value - it may be off by a wide margin, but if you figure out is is consistently 20% low or high or whatever for your market, then it becomes a useful screening tool.

I'll bet there will be tests applied to the crowdfunding alternatives as the intent certainly isn't to wipe out the SEC by allowing 200, 000 people to invest a hundred bucks in anything someone dreams up and claim it falls under the jobs angle.
