I am a DIY'er thru and thru, but totally respect and see a need for professional contractor services as well in many instances.

Since its stretching our capabilities and local area of knowledgeCan anyone comment on there experience, dealing in East Chicago with the Municipality and Local Licensed Contractors?

Managing a contractor may not be best (since this is our first deal) to make it simpler.

The banks like to have an approved and accredited contractor (they may nominate one unless you have one in mind), who will itemize all expenses, that the bank approves and cuts checks for individually.

My contractor walks through and for all that, appliances included he gives me a quote of $10,000 but I'm gonna assume $15,000.

(Just giving you a general idea).You then have to deal with bad contractors, sub contractors, real estate agents, appraisers, home inspectors, homebuyers who sometimes want the PERFECT house and send you everything that a home inspector even remotely mentions whether it is tiny or not.

Basically the park would need to be redeveloped.

Property management, inspector/contractor to walk through prospective properties, realtor obviously.
