I don't have any business entities set up (just a regular ol' W2 employee for now, though this whole scheme is about changing that eventually...)Were I to try to qualify, I suspect my quickest path would be to set up an LLC for my future investment activities (something I planned to do anyhow).

You do not need LLCs just have adequate insurance coverage when only owning a few properties especially when you have no employees.
