She, however, did not notice that my crappy little village has a surveillance camera on main street and just happened to notice a car going around the block 4 times.  

Just starting out up in Lake Arrowhead, California I got a lead on a Condo in  the Lake Arrowhead Village 5 min walk from the Lake and located in the middle of all the shopping and dinning.

Slavic Village maybe your opportunity zone, but its your money so you may want to triple check your level of risk

@Tanner Johnson While the rules can vary greatly among different jurisdictions, many villages/cities will require the primary contractors (HVAC, Electrical, Plumber) to be Licensed to do the work.

Finally, if you purchased this as-is then you get what you see. as for verifying this you may want to check with the Village and see if the previous owner pulled any permits in the last 5 or 10 years.

I had one property that village taxes in addition to the typical school and town/county taxes.
