The situation here is: Company relocation from Zachary, La to Spring, Tx.

We were building in coastal Orange County before relocating to Bend, OR.

I know companies who pay for relocation typically out their new hires in housing for 30 days at a time.

I just relocated to the Elizabethtown/Radcliff area and looking to invest.

I'm open to relocation, but since I'm expecting a decrease in income, I probably would rather not relocate to a super high COL city.

So long as you've got good credit & income you should qualify for a loan.On top of that there are a couple exceptions that would allow you to get an FHA loan such as job relocation or family growth.

This will be dependent on your having a new job where you are relocating, likely in a similar field, in your new location.

These units are rare to pop up (I stay in one of the units each Summer) and usually are gone in a week....so I know the opportunity is 'there'.The goal is to relocate in 4-6 years and use this as a primary residence (but still travel and use as a vacation rental).I'm confident w/ the rental history of these units and comfortable with cash flow (hate having to initially throw down so much $$......but HI has their 'rules').

My wife is an amazing decorator and we are toying with the idea of leaving all furniture/ammenities in the house and renting to mid-term renters (people relocating needing a place while they get settled, healthcare providers doing residencies etc..)...I'd really appreciate any feedback from anyone who has experience with this..ideas on advertising, pricing rents, contracts etc....thanks in advanceBrian
