I'm originally from sunny Sacramento, California and moved to the Big Easy to marry my fiance, who is a native New Orleanian.

I'm a Texas native, born and raised in Houston, but have lived in Hawaii and the Philippines in my college and early teaching careers.My husband and I bought what we discovered was a fixer-upper back in 2012 and we've been slowly updating and renovating.  

As a non-Chattanooga native, I am very wary of some of the downtown properties on the market due to the high crime and turnover rates.

As a Huntsville native, I can tell you the success of Huntsville is still largely tied to Redstone Arsenal (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Redstone_Arsenal) and Marshall Space Flight Center.

Some of the Natives find it wiser to buy land and build on it.North is great to invest in due to Temple, LaSalle, Einstein and cost effective Commercial space (A lot of startups in Philly can't afford Center city office space).

You probably know this already, but I will say it anyway – have leases in their native language as well as any following notices and tenant communications.

However, it is a musician, artist I will hesitate.Few people are interested in housing at this time of the year until next spring.
