There is an amazing difference in knowledge, skill, and experience between long term agents with whom real estate is their career (life) and the agent whose in real estate because he’s a career SALESMAN selling the hottest thing; you know, the guy who’ll be selling oil well drilling participations next year, and advertising services the year after. 

Others like the low cost of the mid-west and have the, skills, time and energy to manage a project long distance.What strategy to deploy will depend on your goals and what your skills, lifestyle, and capital allow you to accomplish and the balance of those 3.

Vendors come and go, so they may have periodic void in certain niche vendor skill sets.

Just like everything else in life, get started, keep honing those skills (i.e. keep reading, keep learning, keep attending the meetups) and watch yourself get better and better witch each property you buy.I hope this helps and good luck on your real estate journey!

Unless new companies move into the city and create replacement jobs that pay similar wages and require similar skills, the only available jobs will likely be service sector jobs, which pay significantly less.

I have a good amount of skills that put me in a very unique position, which I want to start to leverage, to work toward my goal of leaving the utility company, working for myself, doing something I absolutely love.

You can do both usually you want someone that can lead a team and convert the lead and sell if they need too and most people with that skill set are currently working.
