Despite being in the field I really only see a small part of it because I currently work for a company so I hop in my van and go to where my little piece of paper or text tells me to, believe it or not we in the field rarely know where we are going until 5 at night the day before and for obvious reasons owners don't like to share any more information than necessary so it's a little nerve wracking to think about leaving a stable job and jumping up into that blue sky but it definitely makes me feel better and have more confidence hearing from outsiders (of the exact field) their opinions and experiences.
