Again, I only have one kiddo but you can do it - you just have to be creative and able to switch focus really quickly.  

Real estate is, by its very nature, creative, inventive. 

The point of the project is to have fun and be creative. 

But dollar for dollar you will get the biggest boom from creativity not cash. 

I'm not in a position to do anything creative really I'd much rather pass it on to a Realtor or someone that can help her.

There are things you an learn (numbers or taxes or estimating or values of areas, creative financing) and farm out the work you need someone else to do that requires an extrovert (Property management).

Can you suggest a creative way to "purchase" the land, with owner finance for 1 or 2 years? 

Very creative...Switching the dark cabinet and range seems essential because the corner is just a terrible place for the range.
