However, having the intent to follow through with the purchase, it is totally fine to assign the contract to somebody if for some reason your circumstances change... which means if you are going to put a property under contract, you should have the means and desire to close on that property.There are also issues with advertising a property when you don't own it, like posting it on Craigslist with pictures and the address ect.some states may consider that "brokering" and if you don't have a license, is of course not good.
