You can't just pull that one out and slap a new one in and be done if you want it to be done to California code.

I know new construction must be to code, but what about older buildings? 

Any "design" I get to do in my company is usually so dictated by local and state design codes that they almost take the engineering/creativity out of the equation and you just end up conforming to endless lists of requirements (which can be extremely tedious to learn and keep up with).

So i've found out a way to "scrape" online sites for specific information, My plan is once i figure out how to officially set up the coding and scraper I will then offer to sell leads!

I'll be making all of that standard and having the product code has made it very simple to have the contractor go and pick up the flooring I use, Very small piece of the system but I do see the value.Thank you for the great examples!

2)  Who handled city permits/ codes compliance/ ect..?

Each city and state will have different overlapping codes and restrictions compared to federal guidelines.Given enough time, many codes and ordinances that seem like insurmountable obstacles can be navigated around.

Do any of you know a way to find or purchase a list of multifamily property owners by location (zip code or city)?

Another downside is you loose on the advantages, of the Federal Tax Code, by not closing in the name of a LLC.
