I live in Southern California 

I'm an agent in southern WV but always down to discuss some real estate! 

Hello,Have a 2/2 with no AC in southern California.

I currently own 10 doors. 8 currently on section 8 in the high desert in California (southern, CA) .

The war broke out and Southern California was full of GIs, so my father started shining shoes too.

Plus I know the local neighborhood and can diy some repairs.I am looking in my local area of southern California coastal cities where SFH and multi-units can be found from 800k-1.5M+. 

Areas I've looked at are Corona, Riverside, Redlands, and the general inland empire (Riverside/San Bernardino County).My situation is very flexible - family and church friends are in a 50-mile radius of the locations listed, so started my search there - but starting anew with new friends and locations is fine.My question(s) - 2 part:1) If you could live in any city in California (specifically Southern California) - where would you buy a 2-4 plex?

@Jeff G. welcome to the website from another guy down here in southern AZ.In terms of finding properties, it all depends on where you will be investing, and the type of properties that you are looking to purchase.I recently read the book The Millionaire Real Estate Investor, and interestingly enough, most of the millionaires found the majority of their properties through networking, on the MLS, driving/walking, or in newspaper ads.
