This could very well be a criminal theft issue as well, so you may want to put in a call to your local police department to explain the situation and find out what next steps would be.

But the more expensive the property, the more polished knowledgeable, resourceful and presentable you have to be.

Just recently, one of my tennants had to call the police on an ex boyfriend that came over to my tennant's house and started a fight with the tennant's current boyfriend. 

When I told her that I did everything myself she said she knew she was being scammed.She filed a police report and I picked out the couple out of a photo line up that conducted the scam on her because I remembered them coming to tour the house like they wanted to rent it. 

It seems like there are strong opinions about an LLC, multiple LLCs, series LLCs, Something in Delaware, offshore accounts, umbrella polices but I have yet to see any actual data on the topic.

I use a google voice phone number, I got it free and it's hard for the sign police to trace.
