What's the pros of cons building condos vs. apts?

Our question for you pros is; would getting the permits pulled for a separate entrance ADU raise the value of our home?

Good Morning BP,I am looking to buy my first investment property within a year or so...I am currently weighing the pros and cons of buying a beach cottage to rent during the summer months or a year round rental.....If you have any insight on what you think would be best, i'd love to hear.Thanks!
