I tell them the conversation I had once with my ex father in-law; he didn't believe in credit or credit cards, and couldn't understand why, when they went out of town, he couldn't just walk up to a rental car company, and plop down full cash, say $500.00 for a weeks rental, as they still wanted a credit card.

Bring cards and if you see something that catches your eye, leave a card on the door; ensure you write the address down for further research; investigate county assessor office etc.Doing your homework prior to just slamming marketing out there and getting to know people is just another avenue to getting deals.
