As for loans, to get a fixed loan for 5 years (the maximum) you have to pay around 7.4% for the first $208.000 and for the rest of the loan you have interest around 8.5% (fixed for 5 years), please note that you can get an apartment in a B1/C2 for around $290.000 and the rent is around $1650-$2.335 which does not even fit the 1% rule.I do not know how I would possible invest in this market to earn more then you could earn on the stock market, if anyone has any tips or suggestion on how I could possibly make this work in Iceland I would love to hear it, otherwise I plan on moving to another country that has a more suitable market for long term real estate investing.
