I needed to get a character reference for one loan, a reciept for the purchase of an engagement ring, for another to prove the couple was engaged, and income asset docs for a stated stated deal.

For the amount of rent I pay every month I believe a more permanent solution could be found and yet it has not.Whats your thoughts?

I searched old posts and found several that referred to background checks, but I could not find one that gave the service they used.

The real trick is finding the 1 who can ACTUALLY do what you need, in the area you want...I would imagine there are attorney's that can do that, but I would make sure to get a nice long reference list and check them all personally...

Anyone works with any personal with good references?

a good realtor can pull a list of absentee owners for you in yor area. in my county i can go to rent court and look at the owners filing for eviciton/rent court and get their information. that's 1 way to compile it. same with probates, tehre's the register of wills. as far as vendors, the cost is relative to your budget. there are companies like site-x data, and first american realty solutions and haines who provide data and you can pull a list from there. another popular vendor to pull lists from is melissadata.

The house is not listed yet but the asset management company referred me to the listing agent.
