I’ve done a good amount of research for a week straight, wanted to know if anyone can point me in the right direction of how to successfully start this journey.

The overwhelming response is that they would skip SFH rentals or flipping and go directly into MF and think bigger.

This is more confirmation that I'm headed in the right direction.

Also, they only do eviction and Bankruptcy searches for Maine, not for the other states.Because of this, I signed up with Rentec Direct, which allows me to see the actual credit report. 

I have not seen rents in those brackets drop much if any what I have seen is them go hundred % vacant and cant refill them because construction came to a screeching halt and the laborers left and many or most laborer's are tenants.. this played out in PHX  AZ   Vegas NV   FLA  GA  places with uber new construction .. when it stopped so did the jobs.this is all dictated in my mind on JOBS.. you have jobs you have rent stability jobs or economy falters people start moving in with relatives or they simply up and leave and go somewhere else.. there is a reason U haul is a billion dollar concern.

Rents should always be deposited into your business account directly.

Hi @Liz White - I'm sure you've discovered this information already, but I wanted to share it with you in case you haven't seen it (directly from the NC Real Estate Commission):"...requirements for an applicant who holds a current real estate license in another state (or U.S. territory or Canadian jurisdiction) that has been on active status within the previous three (3) years and that is equivalent to NC's provisional or "full" broker license." --- view the requirements here.
