We had seen an older appraisal before heading up there & were aware that there was some deferred maintenance needs.

you have a great opportunity with your background, if you can do work for other investors, learn what they do, and watch their successes and failures, seek out the more seasoned folks, even if your working at a discount, it may be worth it to learn on their dime.

But in an area not far from it has a lot of duplex and quadplex but they are older homes with old appliances, which bring me to my next question.Should I update the appliances in these units to stainless steel?

Reach out to investors(seasoned) investors in your area and partner with them.

Although with refinancing costs and seasoning periods, I don't know how quickly/efficiently this would actually play out.Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

Question; How long on a conventional will they need to season the loan?
