South Jersey rental market
Hello All,
Would like to have your input as to what town or towns in south jersey have high rental probability in SFH? I'm looking to make my first purchase and would hate to buy a home in an area where renting a home is not the norm but owning one is. I've looked into multi-family but I've found they are mostly in need of major repairs. Is there a site I could find out this information? Towns near malls or train stations etc or neighborhood with mostly blue collar workers? Thanks again

@Tinu Matthews - I'd encourage you to attend the landlord sub group of the SJREIA to gather some insights on this. Making SFH rentals work anywhere in South Jersey that aren't really rough neighborhoods, is tough because of how high the property taxes are. You'd have to find a REALLY REALLY good deal.
Glassboro may actually be one of your better options though with Rowan expanding like it is...you'll be able to charge students a per room rate rather than a per house rate and perhaps get more money that way. Check out the BP Podcast with Bill Syrios. He talks a lot about student housing as that's his bread and butter up in Oregon.
