I know several on BP pledge a property for private financing beyond prudent limitations, and you're right, it is dangerous, not for the borrower from the loan angle but more to the liability that the guy who designed the deal takes on in devising the strategy.

@Vlad KuzinIf you will be replacing any operable windows, I would recommend looking at casement/awning windows as they are the most efficient design (they would work fine with the style of house in your pictures).
