Scenario: If one is to buy a new home to use as a primary residence ( till say Jan 1 2025), fix it up and get it ready for STR use starting Jan 2025 while STRing the initial primary until Jan 1, 2025, then move back to the initial primary and fulltime STR the new property..

It’s the belief that life is fair and they got the raw end of the deal.

You can see if it appreciated historically and then you can think its a good deal after 2 years of waiting for it to pay you back?

Yes I had a few that give me the sob story and tried to see if I would lower the rent I told them id get back to them never sent the link to them for screening yet I have too many inquires so I cant get to all potential clients I narrowed them down to two clients not section 8 though.

My family and I are planning to move out by the end of the year (lord willing).

I have my first property (townhouse: 2 bed 1.5 bath, HOA) that I got back in March of 2020, just before covid hit. $175,000, 3.25% APR (thanks to VA loan), currently have a bit over $50k in equity if I pull it out.
