Find median price per square foot in the area you chose (there’s ways to find this) however just ask a realtor...

We did a DIY asbestos remediation of asbestos shingle siding underneath the aluminum siding that made the building look straight and square... got lucky and was able to dispose of it nearly for free at a Hazardous materials disposal event nearby.

Fountain Square, Bates-Hendricks, Garfield Park, and Irvington are some other really good neighborhoods there. 

I'm pooling my resources to buy the 3 acre commercial land next to our store and add more rentable stores to draw foot traffic to our store while earning some rent.

The cost to rebuild my original 1970's tract home will be $1,000,000 as it is now a custom home (3300 square ft.). 

Does this still apply if you are moving up in house/moving up in square footage?

Great callI'm in the middle of a rehab that I tore all the framing out of and salvaged for the entry and wall movesI also kept the 8 foot slider-wood and am going to have it rehabbed by a cabinet company for way less than purchasing a new one forsome of the fixtures were just so calcified that they would not workI saved some of the old light fixtures and refurbished them modern getto- they look really coolthe thing is though is storage- you can rent a connex for a few bucks a month until your ready for the stuff that way they are right there on the property and your not going to a storage unit for the stuff your rehabbingI also kept most of the trashed cabinets- all wood but I'm going to sand blast them then verithane, they will turn out really cool- ive done this in the pastgood luck on your projectenjoy

As you go west from Tremont & Ohio city you will hit the Gordon Square around the W 65th area.

Will be good another 5 years Kitchen: 20+ year old formica cabinets, black appliances and drop ceilings to 8' height --> gutted kitchen revealing original 9 FOOT ceilings and opened the entryway up more!   

I arrived at that from lots of Googling to find $150/sqft a reasonable price and assuming the house would be 1,100 square feet.
