In my market (South Florida) it is very common to pay over ask for a property that has been listed for a good deal.

@Russell Brazil The condo's in Fairfax county, I'm estimating a sale price of around 260 - 270K.

A month later he came back with $120K which is what Tear Down houses have been going for from  South of Gandy Blvd. and down to the Base.

I wanted to know if anyone in the forum has any experience with Sec 8 in South Bend and if so has that experience been positive.Are they any areas in particular that you would recommend to buy in with the intention to put the home on the Sec 8 program?

For this first property I am thinking south metro just to put my roots down close to where I work/hang out.
