I shopped for quotes from about 5 vendors and they gave me the best quote (thousands less than all the others) and even though installation did not happen for 2.5 months due to material shortage etc that was going on at that time, I am really happy with the work done and the quality of the windows.

So, in my cases, I smile, don't charge my customers one penny and accept the cancellations as a part of doing business with the exception that I will ask most customers to pay my actual costs (no mark-up) for my employees' labor, for materials used and most customers are more than willing to pay.As we say in Italy, "Don't Worry bout' It!".
