Looking for Strategy on Finding Private Investors

Lilli Barrett
Posted

Hi Bigger Pockets Community!

My husband and I are just getting started in Real Estate Investing. So far we have put out a few offers but nothing has stuck yet! We're in the research phase and trying to find our niche. We have good amount saved up to fund our first few deals, but we're looking into finding some private investors.

I wanted to hear from the local community what you have done to secure private investors and how you went about finding them. I hear it's all about networking, so here I am.

I'm interested to hear what has worked for you and what hasn't. I'm not looking for a specific investor, I just would like to hear your strategy.

Please feel free to share!

In my experience, I've found finding private investors easy if I just followed the basics to building a Realtor business.  I'm a member of three REIAs, local Rotary Club, local church, local Chamber of Commerce, etc.  Once you're out in the community and known as a serious real estate person, you'll quickly find that these investors find you.

Good luck!
