@M NA If you bought owners title insurance simply make a claim and let everybody scramble to resolve the matter.You don't hire your own attorney because defense/prosecution costs for matters such as this are covered by the policy.If you didn't buy owners coverage, report back.

While the feds probably wouldn't prosecute the borrower (assuming they turn on the lender - and I'm sure they will), it's hard to argue that he wasn't an accomplice in the fraud; he could explain the loan in detail, so he clearly knew what was going on.

So far they have made it public they will be scrapping all the memos and guidance that has kept prosecutors from prosecuting people in states where state policy differs from federal policy.No announcement yet, if there will be an immediately crack down or not.Another announcement is expected later today.
