This looks like fun :) It's always going to be a fun job when your first tool is an air mask and a shovel before you can even get to the demo... the way some people live amazes me.I'll have one like this coming up shortly as well occupied by hoarders.

The texture on the walls is not very heavy - it's known around here as "knock-down" or "orange peel".

you will probably find these in the less than desirable neighborhoods. there are couple of these places near me.literally you could outfit 30 units in a few weeks i wish i had more houses I would buy more lights and faucets.from the street it looks like a bunch of bums selling junk so keep your eyes peeled and dont be afraid to investigate bums selling junk especially if you spot a box truck that means a pallet or two of stuff that could be your guy

Made me think that it sure would be nice to get into fully renovating homes (instead of just painting over peeling paint and lying on the seller disclosure about all of the problems that we soon found, like replacing the entire main line in the first two weeks of living here) and selling them to people KNOWING that we were selling them a top-quality home that is truly move-in ready.  

I'll definitely be keeping my eyes peeled for one I'm able to attend.
