For medical purposes there are many other forms of consumption.

Omar, I'm sure you're well aware of the culture our industry has of high cash flow and consumption.

Hard to really say why it's been so much higher since I bought it, but it's a good lesson to be learned that, A) always be conservative with estimates (call the city but then add 20% to whatever they tell you, just to be safe), and B) tenants don't give a flying you know about water consumption when they're not the ones footing the bill!

Many students choose to live off campus because of alcohol policies and there are more students in Lexington than ones that just go to UK.Overall, your idea is there but needs to be refined for it to be successful.

Community solar arrays are already widespread and available in CA, so shares can be purchased to virtually offset consumption just like one would buy energy from a coal, nuclear, or hydro power plant.

@Ben Freiermuth nearly all college students I run have credit history, and some criminal history comes up as well (minor alcohol type infractions).I think you're getting bad advice from any landlord that tells you it "might not be worth it to run".

Should I investigate a leak or could it really be consumption (like tenants had guests, taps were left dripping during polar vortex)?
