Gatlinburg STRs during the Recession

I'm a new investor looking to buy a STR in the Gatlinburg area. One of my hesitations is knowing what will happen to demand during a recession. The STR market in Gatlinburg seems solid now, but how did it hold up during the last recession? If anyone would be willing to share their experience, with example rental figures, I'd really appreciate it.

@Joshua Taylor That’s a random question give me a call there will be 8000 more questions the deeper you dig. There’s a link in my profile. Answer is somewhere in the $1500-1700 per year area. Mortgage, insurance, and taxes in escrow would be around 1600 per month with 10% down. That’s just off the top of my head there are tons of mortgage calculators on line.

You’ve got to have guns to get into what @Paul Sandhu is doing. He’s an anomaly.
