Is it worth the extra money to get set up this way?

For example, more square feet or an extra bedroom?

I live in one of the rooms and I am renting the rest out for $2500 a month so making about $1000 extra.

And charge them extra per month to have the animal.I don't know why you rented to them in the first place, unless you inherited them...

I have some extra equity in my first duplex as I bought it with 25% down and it appraised for 20% more than I paid for it that I may try to pull out when I refi to conventional but it's not a huge concern for me.
