Now I'm married with a kid and soon to be another, so it isn't realistic now, because I need the cash flow from my current duplex to buy the next one with 25% DP.

My MIL rented her home in Autauga County, Alabama last September to a newly married couple.

I've always been interested in real estate and got my feet wet 7 years ago 2 weeks after we got married.

In the past year I graduated, began working as a petroleum engineer, moved to New Mexico, got married, and now my wife and I are expecting our first child in July.I have been fortunate enough to avoid the layoffs in the oil & gas industry thus far, and will be transferred to Oklahoma City soon.

In my opinion, you are going to be married to this company for the long haul, so buying cheap or being attracted to "cheaper than everyone else" is not always a good thing.  

I lucked out and now have a ton of equity in my house.I have a full time job and I am getting married this Saturday.
