As long as the rental property is about a 15 minute walk to the University, close to those Towson University bus stops, or close to the bars uptown, it will be attractive to students. 

Hello BP friendsI own a condo in Dana Point Beach, Orange County, California (about a mile walk to the beach); I have always rented it out as a yearly lease but now thinking I should leverage my beach location better and switch to short term leases.

They may just say no and if so, you need to decide if you are willing to walk away.

I'll actually need $275k to get the project done and the guy I had hired walked off the project during the beginning of COVID and basically isn't coming back because he's so busy with more lucrative business.At this point, I'm not sure if it's worth it to sell at a loss ($40k loss), or wait until lumber prices come back to 2018-2019 levels and just pay Property Tax on the land until then, or just spend the extra $100k to get the duplex built with a different builder and call it a day ....

I agree that this should have been something that was caught during the walk through the day before closing if the tenant is indeed telling the truth. 

I got my first walk through tomorrow.

Counter offer with a larger amount or walk away if they don’t agree to cover more?

It sounds like they probably have a higher and/or better offer and don’t mind if you walk.

They offered sight unseen(agent sent a video), during inspections we traveled down to walk it.
