It would be helpful to understand the seasonality and other factors that affect bookings.Also, how long have you been a host, and what have you found to be key to your success?

I would love to meet up with active Real Estate Investors in the Chicagoland area/surrounding suburbs to pick your brain a bit, possibly shadow you on day-to-day activities, and see how to successfully go about beginning on this path to wealth through Real Estate. 

But I'd caution you with this practice as you will most likely not receive the holistic and competent advice you should be receiving, which can be critical to a new start-up's success. 

If you have  / can find suitable land (topography and zoning can be an issue), have access to the necessary capital (more expensive), can be more patient with the timelines (new builds will take quite a bit longer, especially on multi units, and dont' forget to factor in possible weather delays), and enjoy the process of designing something from nothing - GO FOR IT.One big caveat: make sure you have the RIGHT General Contractor who really understands new construction.

Should I start the process to remove them?

Etc.Your net-work is huge in this industry, so I'd encourage you to go to local meet-ups, spend time with other successful investors, etc. 

My aunt (who is not a successful real estate investor, but has some experience with flipping) says I shouldn't jump into a triplex because I'm too new.

It makes it a really easy process for me, since I don't have to manually remind my tenants at all.
