If the homes are older and average shape I've heard: take a full month's rent as "down payment", so if home rent is $500, take $1000 for the first month, and sign over the home title right then and there.

It's older and more established so homes are a bit cheaper (around 120K or so) The block nearest to 10th street had an apartment building that had a lot of crime in it but I lived down the street a few blocks and never had a single issue.

@Amy LuAs folks pointed out on your other thread, 242 gallons per hour is just 4-gallons per minute - an older toilet uses that much per flush.

As other's have said, breaking it down to 4 gallons/min, makes it much less impossibleQuick Googling shows that older showerheads alone can provide 8 GPM, new showerheads around 2.5GPM.
