Hello peeps, A little about me, from nyc in the food truck business for 11 years, 36 years old moving to the Detroit metro area and looking to invest in the real estate market either to flip or rent.

I know that COVID restrictions have slowed MeetUps, but they are a great source of connecting to local investors.

I wasn't originally thinking of buy-and-hold but have heard from a few sources this is a potential way to increase the ROI.

I have been unable to source a consultant who does not want to take the responsiblity over.

If you're willing to put in the time, then I don't see anything wrong with trying to build your own team and sourcing your own deals.

It's a great source of information for people starting out in the small business/RE world.

Many like to purchase and close remotely due to the simplicity of many deals we source.

@Charles Stein I believe that "source of income" is a protected definition under MA state law so it may be considered discrimination...

So contact everyone :)One of my recommendations would be to contact the source who would review the work at the City of Chicago.
