Having gone without credit cards for the past 5 years - following a bankruptcy - I need to obtain a couple credit cards in order to facilitate bidding on foreclosure auctions.  

Yes makes sense, so it's just like a credit card but the amount you qualify for is based on your house equity?

It happened to a friend of mine who paid his personal credit card with a business check.

They also offer credit cards personal and a business credit card that does not report on your personal credit history , so for whatever reason you need to carry a balance for an extended period of time you can put it on your biz credit card wihout it affecting your personal credit. ithink the same is true of the loans.Let me know if you'd like to find out more, I can forward you some of the info I have on them or you can Google it.I'm in no way affiliated with them but I did get the credit cards and a couple of my colleagues that I work with also got them.

I definitely feel like there is a lot of opportunity in this area if the cards are played right.

Get a credit card or two, but everything you can using it, and pay off the full balance each month.

As is handing out your business cards to all the neighbors and ask them to contact you if they have concerns.
