I would have been highly offended at some stranger standing at my door thinking that I am so desperate that I would talk to the stranger about my personal business and my home.

The MBR has an extremely small half bath -- I plan to get an estimate on cost to install a stand-up only shower unit.

I have spent the whole weekend reading non-stop about REO, these auction sites, how to make your bid stand out etc.

Mission statements keep you on track and crystallize what you stand for and what you want to acccomplish.I would choose a niche in real estate, such as buy and hold, fix and flip, etc, and include that also in your mission statement.

While we hope that we can navigate this dynamic world of investing, I think we stand to learn the most not from what we do right, but what we do wrong.I was just curious to see what mistakes other people had made in their RE investing and what they learned from it.

Not the poorest of areas, definitely not the wealthiest of areas, the large local grocery chain still maintains grocery stores there, starbucks/wal greens can be found etc.2 shopping centers, one free standing office building, 3 other mixed use properties that have restaurants, retail and office space.  

From there I had title searches done to insure the quit claim deed would stand up.

I researched what i could, seems like IRS stand in line chronologically only having right of redemption. but if they don't exercise it,the lien follows the property ?
