I can only imagine that would be a nightmare for this developer.Investors don't start playing in real estate until they're ready to commit at least $10,000, in my view, and even that is chump change on $1 million deal. 

What it sounds like you are attempting to do here is buy an INVESTMENT property with a conventional style loan.

After a year or so, you can move out, rent it out and keep your nice owner occupied loan.If that isn't practical for your situation, then I would recommend buying a nice turn-key style rental somewhere in the Midwest.

I would ask brilliant, investigative journalistic style questions such as, "Do you think the land lord punched a hole in the wall?"

Do not put a throw away style floor (laminate, carpet, cheap vinyl planks) in your property.

Account Closed I have a floor plan I really like from architectural designs that’s a little under 1,000 sqft and it’s a modern farmhouse style cabin so it’s not really a log cabin but I’m very curious to what it would cost because it would stand out from the crowd of normal cabins, tailor it more high end.
