It may sound nice to pay a 5% management fee but the extra fees can add up to be more than the other company that charges 10% with no add-on fees.

For the existing system:  If there is any residual value of the existing system (which it doesn't sound like there is), I believe you can deduct that residual value the year when the system was removed.
