As far as business goes in the LLC vs S Corp vs leave in personal name question I am probably thinking of going the S Corp route since it is noted on here in some posts that some courts are piercing the LLC protections as they are considering it an alter-ego of the person.My question...is that possible with an S Corp, especially if you are sole owner of the stock?

Look at the dotcom bust in early 2000s: stocks take a nosedive and real estate shrugs and moves on.In this particular case, if I had to guess based on the root causes, I'd predict weakness in real estate markets heavily dependent on oil (especially those small towns that only exist for oil jobs) and maybe some weakness in gateway cities (LA, SF, NYC) as Chinese investors pull out of projects.
