Inflation isn't necessarily caused by new purchases, a large component of it is a psychological expectation of higher prices.As far as new purchases leading to higher inflation, I barely even saw a slowdown in my market (North Dallas) and very few price cuts.

For instance if weekday rent would only pay half the amount of the weekend, at least you get something.Las Vegas does this with rooms, cuts the price to the bone when they need to fill up.Good Luck!

It would expose the property to significantly more buyers and would likely bring you (and your family) a higher sales price.It sounds like you may be treading a fine line with not wanting to cut your broker in on the commission by avoiding the MLS, and instead trying to arrange an under the table deal where your family pays you a fee directly?
